As a Security Manager at National SemiconductorIn
1990 he joined the industrial sector as the Security Manager for
National Semiconductor and Dynacraft of Penang. During his tenure in
Penang, he served as Chairman of the Penang Free Industrial Zone
Security Council and National Semiconductor’s Chairman of the
Environmental, Safety and Hygiene Committee. In National Semiconductor,
he was the recipient of the National Semiconductor Outstanding Service
Award in 1994 for major product transfer to Singapore.
As a Security Manager at Motorola Kuala Lumpur
In 1995 he joined Motorola where he was the Coordinator of the
Proprietary Information Protection Program, Advisor to the Emergency
Response Team and First Responders Team (Paramedics), site coordinator
of the Crisis Management Team and Business Continuity Team.
He
received MOTOROLA AWARD & RECOGNITION PROGRAMS for Trucking Services
‘Pick-up Excess’ (2000), Voluntary Severance Program (2001), 5 year
Outstanding Contribution for the growth of Motorola (2001), Successful
Major Investigation on Dishonest Employee (2002), Quality Security
Operation Review (2002).
For 2003, he was also the recipient of
Motorola outstanding service awards for (1) achievement in zero cargo
loss programs, (2) information protection training program and (3) for
placing Motorola Kuala Lumpur as first site to achieve level 3 crisis
management program Motorola worldwide.
As an investigator
In the field of investigation, he had been a crime investigating
officer for several years whilst in the Royal Malaysian Police Force and
in the private sector he has conducted numerous internal investigations
related to major fraudulent practices, conflict of interest, violence
at work place, serious theft and pilferages, sexual harassments,
security and safety violations.
He has also conducted several
joint investigations with the police, airlines and local freight
forwarders in major warehouse and shipment losses. He has conducted
several discreet investigation for multinationals related to product
losses, counterfeiting and others.
As an Auditor and Assessor
He has conducted numerous physical security audits for multinationals
sites in Santa Clara, Phoenix and local based & foreign based
multinationals in Malaysia. His teams have successfully conducted
several Audits and Security Vulnerability Assessments for Gandour
Malaysia, NTV 7, Hong Leong Yamaha Motorola, Western Digital, Canon,
StatsChipPac, and most recent is ON Semiconductor, Seremban.
As a Crisis Coordinator
His experience included wide range of crisis situations such racial
riots (1969), Major Flood Relief work (1972), Food Poisoning (1973),
Student Demonstrations (1974), Suicide (1987), Mass Hysteria (1990),
Facility Fire (1991), Work to Rule Situation (1993), Bomb Threats (1994
& 1996), Employee Unrest (2001), Chemical Spillages (2001), Major
Black-outs (2001), Major Water Disruption (2002), Server Room Disruption
(2002) and Facility Damages by Flood & Thunderstorm (2003).
He
has facilitated training on crisis management for senior managers in
Motorola and other multinationals. He has developed the Emergency
Response Guide Book for Motorola Kuala Lumpur.

Majlis Latihan Vokesional Kebangsaan (MLVK). He was certified for
Persijilan Kemahiran (PPK) and Pentauliahan Pencapaian Terdahulu (PPT)
in 2002.
He has developed a Certificate in Security Management for
Secretariat Latihan Kemahiran Angkatan Tentera MINDEF and Six-Month
Transition Program on Security for Perbadanan Hal Ehwal Angkatan Tentera
(PERHEBAT). In 2009, we have successfully conducted ‘Train & Place’
for youth on security program organized by the Ministry of Human Resource.
As a Trainer
He lectured in Security Diploma programs and was a certified Motorola
instructor 1 on several Motorola programs namely Protection of
Proprietary Information (POPI), Motorola Ethics in Action, Cargo
Integrity Program and Emergency Response & Planning. He was also
Motorola Train the Trainer (TTT) for programs such as Proprietary
Information Protection, Motorola Ethics in Action, SPS in Action Learning
Map and Renewal Direct Dealing Workshop Facilitator.
He has
conducted public and in-house internal investigation techniques
programs, Investigation & Interrogation Techniques for the auxiliary
police officers and security practitioners in the numerous
multinationals respectively. Apart from the security training, his team
has conducted executive protection training programs that included body
guarding and defensive & offensive driving techniques.
To
date he has trained more than 1,000 security personnel and Auxiliary
Police personnel of all levels inclusive managers, executives from
various multinationals and local-based organizations. Participants have
included security managers and officers from Singapore, Brunei, China,
Vietnam and the Middle East.

Experience (Hong Kong 2000), Outsourcing Security (MISA, 2001),
Evacuation Planning (Security Convention, Mines 2002), Emergency
Response (PPKKM, 2003), Security Professional (Globe Security, 2003),
Security Culture (Malaysian Crime Prevention Foundation, Penang (2004).
As an Event Manager
He had organized a nationwide 1st Security Practitioner meet (Sunway
Lagoon, 2002), 2nd Security Practitioner’s Meet (Cititel, MidValley
2003) and 3rd Security Practitioners Meet (Sheraton Subang, 2004).
As a Golfer
He won the Indonesian Cup at Penang Turf Club Golf Course in 1990.
As a Chess Player
He was one of the finalists for Malaysian National Master Title in
1978. He represented Malaysia at Asean Cities Chess Championship 1979 in
Hong Kong. His most memorable experience was an opportunity to play
against Victor Korchnoy Simultaneous game in Hong Kong. He has
participated in tournaments in Manila. His team won best family team
award at Merdeka Chess Competition 1996. He represented
Singapore/Malaysia Chess Challenge in Singapore in 2001 and KL 2002. He
was the Veteran Champion Malaysian Malay Chess Competition in 2002.
